lets bring this back to basics NWOBHM tracks WANTED
Just as the topic suggests.
I'm looking to beef up my collection here.
I'm looking for some NWOBHM. I want to get a 'Tallica's influence folder going.
here's a few that I'm looking for:
samson - Survivors, Head On, Shock Tactics, Before The Storm
tygers of pan tang
praying mantis(captured city)
raven
saxon - Saxon, Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law, Denim and Leather
crucifixion
demolition
hellenbach
night time flyer
fist - Turn the Hell On, Back with a Vengeance
sledgehammer
witchfynde - Give 'em Hell, Stagefright
trespass - One of These Days:The anthology
silverwing
blitzkrieg - buried alive
sweet savage
holocaust - The Nightcomers
aIIz - The Witch of Berkeley (live) LP
Vardis - 100 M.P.H., The World's Insane, Quo Vardis
and that comp. that Lars put together - NWoBHM Revisited '79
the albums listed are out of print - uber hard to find - or what ever the case may be.
they are also only the records that had been out around the time Metallica was forming
or around the time Lars dove into it in the States. so you're thinking, 78-82. 82 at the latest.

Well I got a bit of it, I see if I can upload it somewhere
EDIT: I got Holocaust, Saxon and Tygers of Pan Tang. I'll upload them in the night to Mediafire. Since they are no splitted archives, there shouldn't be a problem.

Re: lets bring this back to basics NWOBHM tracks WANTED
Thanks man,
I'm just saying that it's damn near impossible to find these records that stoked the flame in 'Tallica anywhere.
I've checked in the City at ALL The Vinyl stores (over the last three months of 2012, I've scouted all 186 record
stores. I skipped the Chain stuff, F.Y.E. etc. and none of those 186 stores had dick on NWOBHM.)
So then I resorted to my last resort. the web. and nothing is on here just a fuck load of dead links.
and not to mention ridiculous prices on Ebay... 214.89 for a vinyl? ----pfft, I'd - no kidding - pay that
for a 1st Pressing of Kill 'Em All, hell maybe even for a true genuine copy of the Power Metal cassette
(that wasn't passed around 'til later in 'tallicas career. but I digress)
Look, Ebay was my second choice, however, understandably, the shipping does rip open that cool 10.99 price
a bit when it comes from Europe... like scary obscure Europe.

There is a cool shop you might wanna check out: http://www.cdandlp.com/en/
They have some items that are not listed on Ebay and they sometimes have reasonable prices
