Recording Comments:
This concert was almost a complete disaster. I got to see The Dead Daisies about 20 minutes into their set, at which time it started to rain. It continued to get worse, until the point of downpour shortly after they finished. As is provided, you can listen to the weather delay warning and finding out that Kiss was being delayed indefinitely, which ended up being a very wet 70 minutes total. Due to the obvious weather conditions there is noticeable wind in the first few songs, but I was able to get a better spot and stayed there for the rest of the concert. Being that I was given a ticket last minute with no prior intent to attend, I'm just glad to have been able to see and tape them. It actually never stopped raining the entire concert, so there are random blips as well. As is mentioned by Paul Stanley, this was the first time Kiss had ever performed at the Iowa State Fair and the 8th time in Iowa overall. I did not record The Dead Daisies. The pictures included with this were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge at 12 megapixels and the video clip of the weather was also taken with it at 1920x1080.
Recording "Proof" Comments:
On track 03, "Detroit Rock City" at 4:18-4:19, Paul Stanley says, "Des Moines!". There are also numerous other mentions throughout the recording to the city of "Des Moines" as well as to the rain/weather.
* Please feel free to convert/chop/edit/share however you like. I only ask that you keep the Taper's notes and other files with it for posterity and context.
