Greetings people of long ago!

I am looking for a particular version of either For Whom The Bell Tolls or Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth). Now I know it was from when Cliff was still around so 86 and before. This particular version, the bass sound sounded like a rusty chainsaw. It was the ugliest and most beautiful thing I have heard. Unfortunately I cannot locate it!

i believe what you're looking for is called The Rusty Chainsaw Bootleg, it's from 1986 and Cliff "Rusty" Burton did an IMPROMPTU Anesthesia Bass Jam and than blasted his chainsaw towards playing For Whom The Bell Tolls.
