In this thread I want to show you German bands that are not internationally known.
Maybe you find something new you like

I won't upload full albums, but compilations of songs. So if you like a bands just tell me, and I'll upload some albums. If needed I'll upload the lyrics, too!

Bela B is a German singer and rock artist. He is part of the band "Die Ärzte" (which you will find here later) where he is playing drums and sings. His music ranges from punk to rock, blues, lounge and many other styles.

OK, I need to start with that one fact: this band has a fascist past. But that was back in 1982/1983 when they started (don't worry, on this sampler are NO songs from that time). Over the years of their existence (they split up in 2005) they always put out statements that they've changed and are nazis in no way anymore. They also wrote songs against fascism and against nazis. Other lyrics are about politics, life, their past and about rockthemes like sex or drugs. When they split up in 2005 they started the biggest open air concert of a band in German history. Without any help of TV or newspapers this band made it to one of the most succesfull German hardrock bands ever.

DER W (The W)

This guy was bassist in the band Böhse Onkelz (see post above). After his main band split up he started his solo career. His musical genre is hardrock. Lyrical themes are humanity, lies, life and love. His artist name "Der W" stands for "Der Weidner". His name is Stephan Weidner... so Weidner stands for his last name
