I was wondering if there is any interest in starting a Bootleg Matrix thread? There are quite a few incomplete sbd shows that could be matrix'd. I ? Ihave done a few myself and will post once ready. Anyone else done any? If so post here. As I said I will post one of mine soon!! Thank you!!

What is the meaning of "matrixing a bootleg", I do not understand.

This is when you take two different versions of the same show and combine them. This is usually done to partial soundboard recordings. You take the missing songs from the audience version and combine it with the partial soundboard show making it complete or as complete as possible. I have done this with a few shows and its nice to have a full show not missing songs.

Doesnt't make sense to me, why would i want to have a show that has like 12 SBD songs and 6 audience songs? All songs should be the same quality, and if a show is incomplete, that's just how it is...besides that, anyone could always add songs from different sources to a show, so i don't see the point of making a thread for that...

If it turns an incomplete recording into a full recording. Or add a little flavor to a dry soundboard that is all I could hope for with the matrix.
I downloaded a few GnR matrix shows from Japan that had Axl's IEM mix and a good audience recording and it sounds great.
Quality recordings with some atmosphere cant beat em imo

It'd definitely liven up some of the shows missing the audience. I've got a couple of RHCP that are IEM Matrix and they're 2 of my favorites of theirs.
